An industrial door that fails every few months is almost always under-specified rather than badly maintained. We survey how often the opening actually cycles, what goes through it and what the weather does to it — then specify slat gauge, barrel, motor and controls to match. It costs slightly more up front and considerably less over five years.

Every door is manufactured to the opening in our Yorkshire warehouse and installed by our own engineers, so responsibility for the specification, the build and the aftercare sits with one company.

What width of opening can you cover?
We manufacture to the opening rather than to stock sizes, so wide loading bays and yard entrances are routine. On very large spans we'll specify a heavier curtain, a bigger barrel and a motor rated for the weight — that's decided at survey, not guessed.
What's the difference between an industrial shutter and a shopfront one?
Slat gauge, barrel size, motor rating and cycle life. A shopfront shutter opens twice a day; an industrial door may open fifty times. Fitting retail spec to an industrial opening is the single most common cause of repeat breakdowns we get called to.
Do you fit insulated industrial doors?
Yes. Foam-filled insulated slats help with temperature control in chilled or heated units and cut noise transfer, which matters on sites with neighbours or night shifts.
What safety features are included?
Safety brakes, photocell safety edges, obstruction detection and manual override for power failures. We specify to current standards and demonstrate the override to your staff at handover.
Can you replace a door without stopping our operation?
Usually. We schedule industrial replacements around delivery windows and shift patterns, and where an opening can't be left unsecured we phase the work so the site is never exposed overnight.
Do you service what you install?
Yes, and on high-cycle industrial doors we'd recommend it. Planned servicing on a heavily used door is far cheaper than an unplanned shutdown of a loading bay.
