How They Fail

Cables, Springs
And Panels.

A sectional door hangs on cables under tension and rides on rollers in tracks. A frayed cable, a broken torsion spring or a bent track puts the whole door out of balance, and a door out of balance rapidly damages the panels and operator.

Cable and spring work on a sectional door is genuinely dangerous without the right tooling. If a cable has snapped or a spring has gone, leave the door where it is and ring us.

Frayed or snapped lifting cables replaced and the door re-balanced.

Broken and fatigued springs replaced with the correct rating.

Do you work on sectional doors as well as roller shutters?
Yes — repair, servicing and new installations, on the same 24-hour Yorkshire callout.
One cable has snapped and the door is crooked — can I use it?
No. The remaining cable is now carrying everything and can let go. Leave it and ring us.
Can a damaged panel be replaced on its own?
Usually yes, provided the profile is still available or can be matched — which is far cheaper than replacing the whole door.
How often should sectional doors be serviced?
At least annually, more often on high-cycle industrial doors. Cables and springs are the safety-critical items and they're exactly what a service checks.
Do you fit insulated sectional doors?
We do, including insulated panels and vision sections, surveyed and specified for your opening.
