The Real Cause

Why The Remote
Stopped Working.

Shutter controls are a chain: handset, aerial, receiver, control board, then the motor. A fault anywhere in that chain looks identical from the outside — you press the button and nothing happens. Diagnosing which link has gone is the whole job.

We test the chain properly rather than guessing, so you pay for the part that has actually failed. Where a control board is obsolete we can usually fit a modern receiver and reprogram your handsets to it.

Get Asked.

I've replaced the battery and it still doesn't work — what now?
Then the fault is almost certainly further down the chain: aerial, receiver or control board. Those need testing on site, and it's a quick job once an engineer is in front of it.
Can you supply extra remotes?
Yes, for most common systems, and we'll pair them on site. We can also delete a lost or stolen handset so it can no longer open your shutter.
My remote only works from a metre away.
That's a classic aerial or interference problem. LED lighting, EV chargers and nearby transmitters all cut range, and repositioning or replacing the aerial usually fixes it.
The control board is obsolete — do I need a whole new shutter?
No. In nearly every case we can fit a modern receiver or control panel to the existing motor and shutter, which costs a fraction of a replacement.
Can you convert my shutter to remote control?
Yes, provided the motor is suitable. We can add remote operation, a key switch, or both, with safety edges checked at the same time.
